Terms of Service
Effective: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Exodus (“the Application”). By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Description of Service
Exodus is a non-custodial, read-only desktop companion for monitoring cryptocurrency portfolios across multiple blockchain networks. The Application aggregates publicly available on-chain data and third-party market feeds to present portfolio balances, price information, and tax-estimation reports.
- The Application does not create, store, or transmit private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials of any kind.
- The Application cannot initiate, authorize, or execute any blockchain transactions on your behalf.
- All displayed data is derived from public blockchain records and third-party data providers and may contain inaccuracies or delays.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Application. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
3. Market Data & Pricing
Asset prices, market capitalizations, volumes, and percentage changes are sourced from independent third-party aggregators. The Application does not independently verify this data. Displayed values are informational only and do not constitute financial, investment, or trading advice.
4. Tax Estimation
The built-in tax report generator produces estimates of capital gains and income based on publicly visible transaction history and selected cost-basis methods (FIFO, LIFO, HIFO). These estimates are provided solely for informational purposes.
- Tax laws vary by jurisdiction and change frequently. The Application does not provide tax advice.
- You are solely responsible for verifying all figures with a qualified tax professional before relying on them for any filing or compliance purpose.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and other intellectual property within the Application are the property of the developer or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Application.
8. Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the Application or by updating the “Effective” date above. Continued use of the Application after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Privacy Policy
Effective: July 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Exodus (“the Application”) collects, uses, and protects information. We are committed to transparency and to safeguarding your privacy.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The Application is designed with a privacy-first architecture. We do not collect, store, or have access to:
- Private keys, recovery phrases, or wallet passwords
- Personal identification information (name, email, phone number)
- Account credentials or authentication tokens
- Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
2. Locally Stored Data
All application data — including public wallet addresses, portfolio configurations, cached balances, transaction history, and user preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage mechanisms. This data never leaves your device except as described in Section 3. You may delete all stored data at any time through Settings.
3. Network Requests to Third Parties
To retrieve market data, asset prices, and on-chain balances, the Application makes network requests to independent third-party data providers and public blockchain endpoints. When these requests are made, the queried public wallet address and your device’s IP address may be visible to those providers. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for third-party data handling practices.
4. Public Blockchain Data
Blockchain addresses and their associated transaction histories are publicly accessible by design. The Application reads this public information but does not contribute to, modify, or redistribute it.
5. Data Security
While no method of electronic storage is completely secure, we employ industry-standard practices to protect locally stored data, including encryption where supported by the operating system. The Application does not transmit your data to our servers because we do not operate data-collection servers.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Application is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be reflected by updating the “Effective” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
